Eastleigh BID and Hampshire Police Work in Close Partnership
Eastleigh BID Town Centre Rangers and Hampshire Police have been working closely together since the inception of Eastleigh BID in 2014. With the skills, local knowledge and trust that the businesses in the area have with the rangers being fully utilised to assist not solely with crime prevention but also identification of perpetrators and positive trends in arrests and prosecutions.
The collaboration between Eastleigh BID and Hampshire Police helps to identify crime issues, collate information and intelligence about criminal activity and agree long and short term actions and response planning.
Eastleigh BID have invested in the intelligence sharing platform DISC to reduce the impact of low level crime and anti-social behaviour and also provided radios to businesses in the area. The valuable information gained and shared has helped to reduce crime statistics in many areas.
Eastleigh BID are committed to improve safety and reduce crime in Eastleigh Town Centre. Working closely with Hampshire Police is helping to achieve these goals. The valuable relationship is a great asset to the business community.
