We are bringing back our Customer Service Awards for 2019. Take part in a development programme specially designed to help local businesses build and reinforce their retail and selling skills, and boost their PR.

We are opening this up to 60 retailers and businesses in the town.  Each business will sign up to seeing themselves as customers do by agreeing to a mystery visit or enquiry, and receiving the feedback from a customer service expert.

The mystery visits will be carried out by Insight6, part of the UK’s leading Customer Experience Company.  Retailers will be rated on their window displays, interior layout, and customer service.

Teresa Swann, BID Manager, explains: “We want people to come to our town, enjoy the experience, and come back – and that depends on our businesses providing a great experience.  The purpose of this project is to ensure businesses get as much support as possible to help them prepare for the rest of this busy year, a real bonus in these difficult economic times. Our town has many unique and eclectic retailers, managing to combine excellent shopping and services within a calm and pleasant atmosphere.  The diversity of quality products available means it is a refreshing change to the much duplicated ‘UK High Street”.

The awards ceremony, taking place on 11th June, will recognise and publicise the excellence in the town.  Awards will be presented to the businesses who achieved outstanding results in the initiative, there will be categories for businesses, and different type of retailers, e.g. businesses, charity, dining, leisure, retail, health and beauty, and pubs.

The programme is free for those businesses that sign up.

If you would like to be involved, contact Jim Smith at jim.smith@insight6.com, or on 07721 535 429, or via Emily Reason at emily@eastleighbid.co.uk, there are limited spaces and they will get taken up.
