On the 19th of May 2023, two new defibrillator (de-fibs) units were installed in the Eastleigh BID Area.
Although we hope that the de-fibs never need to be used, in the event of an emergency, a de-fib can be the difference between life and death. To have them available in the town centre means that should the need ever arise, they could save someone’s life.
These units were funded and supplied by Eastleigh BID, who also funded the installation, which was carried out by ALB Electrical Limited, who did a great job. The new units were installed on the outside wall of RJ’s Convenience Store on High Street and the outside wall of The Good Companions on Leigh Road which means they are available 24 hours a day. Eastleigh BID would like to thank both businesses for their support with this project and ALB Electrical for their professionalism with the installation.
As well as supplying and installing the units, Eastleigh BID also organised a training and demonstration session to be provided by Passion First Aid. The training was very informative.
