October is the month for the spooky and scary, luckily for Eastleigh our Town Rangers have been working closely with the Police and the Visit Eastleigh Crime Reduction Coordinator which has resulted in a reduced amount of calls made to The Rangers throughout October.
Do not think that they have not been busy though!
The 16th of October was the beginning of ShopKind week, the aim of this campaign was to unite the retail sector to tackle violence and abuse against shopworkers by asking people to ShopKind when in shops. During ShopKind week Visit Eastleigh provided a number events to the local businesses to allow them access to various agencies such as Victim Support, SIA, Southampton City Council Licensing and the CPS.
The Rangers have also been busy supporting the Police with various investigations as well as distributing drink spiking glass covers to various licensed premises.
There have been a number of new businesses open in Eastleigh throughout October, The Ranger have introduced themselves, provided radios as well as advising these businesses how we can all work together to make Eastleigh a safer place to work and visit.
