Eastleigh BID Ballot 2024 – 2029

Eastleigh BID exists to support your business and boost your trade. You can call on us for help with
everything from saving you money, business advice, to working with public bodies on your behalf.

Over the next five years we plan to invest £70,000 in business support initiatives including some reserves.

We are required by law to ballot our levy paying businesses every five years. This allows businesses to collectively shape a five-year programme of BID projects and decide whether they wish to continue funding these additional services through the BID levy until 2029.

Key Dates
The current term of Eastleigh BID runs until 31st March 2024.

This Business Plan seeks a third term to run from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2029.

The ballot will run from 5th October 2023 to 2nd November 2023 and for Eastleigh BID to continue for a further five years, two tests must be passed:

  1. A simple majority of those who vote must vote yes.
  2. Also, the aggregate rateable value of those that vote yes must be greater than that of those that vote no.
