About
Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRPs) perform a valuable function as part of local community efforts to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour which affects businesses, their staff, customers and the community. Their work is now recognised by police, community safety and community safety partnerships as providing a valuable source of information and demonstrating practical steps to identify offenders and anti-social elements and to work together to manage their behaviour more effectively.
The mission of the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships is to reduce acquisitive and violent crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour against businesses, their premises, staff and customers.
Eastleigh BID are committed to working with NABCP, Hampshire Constabulary and the local business community to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. We work with the local neighbourhood policing team directly. The Eastleigh BID Crime Reduction Co-ordinator meets with the Chief inspector to ensure that they are fully aware of any issues in the town.
Initiates include Shop and Pubwatch, investment in the DISC reporting process, supply of radios and other supportive measures. DISC is the UK’s leading crime information sharing system. It enables local crime reduction partnerships and enables ‘joined-up’ policing between the Eastleigh town centre rangers, businesses and the community. The Police attend pubwatch and shopwatch meetings and are active contributors to the schemes.
